Apple Crisp #2

(serves 6)

In bowl, combine:

  • 6 apples, peeled, cored & sliced
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 2 tsp. lemon juice

Pour into greased 1 1/2 quart casserole

In bowl, blend until crumbly consistency:

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup cake meal
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 6 tablespoons margarine
  • Add 1/4 cup chopped nuts

Sprinkle mixture over apples and bake @ 350 degrees for 1 hour until crust is nicely browned. Serve hot.
